One counselor. 372 students. Three minutes each.

That's where the ratio sits. ASCA recommends 250. Three in four counselors are already over it — (ASCA, 2025) and 13% of their time is all that's left for career advisement.

Walk into every advisory conversation already knowing what to ask.

No new caseload. No extra prep. Students play; you get the report.

Counselors care. The problem is time no one has. Students default into the wrong programs, and districts carry accountability for outcomes that were never chosen.

The ratio problem, by school level

Only 1 in 4 school counselors operates within ASCA's recommended 250:1 ratio. At the extreme end, 11% carry more than 550 students. Some report caseloads of 500–950 students — ranges where individual career conversations become structurally impossible.

The idea

Play twenty minutes. Know what comes next.

Students make choices inside a science-fiction story — how they lead, solve problems, respond under pressure. Not a questionnaire. A psychometric engine maps every choice to five career-readiness competencies.

  • A competency profile for every student across five validated dimensions.
  • CTE pathway recommendations mapped to your district's course catalog.
  • Perkins V–aligned documentation for your compliance reporting.
  • A conversation starter, not a verdict — the talk is already halfway done.

Built for people

You already know these students.
Now you'll know where they fit.

School Counselor

You're carrying too many students to give any one of them the time they deserve.

ASCA data shows 54% of counselors cite high caseloads as a top challenge — and only 13% of your time reaches appraisals and advisement at all. Introspection Academy doesn't replace you. It does the career-exploration heavy lifting before a student walks in. You already know what to do with the conversation — now you have something to start it with.

CTE Director

You need pathway enrollment to reflect real student fit, not random selection.

But the counselors who guide those decisions are under structural pressure: 22% plan to leave the profession within five years, primarily due to burnout and high caseloads. Introspection Academy maps to your district's CTE programs and produces Perkins V–aligned documentation. Students play it during advisory. You get the data, retain counselor capacity, and get pathway enrollment that reflects actual fit.
